Pier 0.1.32: Input rework — attachments show what they are

Pier 0.1.32 (2026-08-26) reworks the session input. Attachments are no longer blank tiles, and unsent content survives closing the input.

Attachments show what they are

  • Attachments sit in a row of small squares above the input: images show a thumbnail, text shows the first lines, other files show a type icon, with the name in a hover tooltip.
  • Numbering like #1 and #2 is gone.
  • Extra attachments scroll sideways instead of crowding the input.

Mentions and commands look consistent

Paths, commands, skills, attachments, and review mentions in the input now share one rounded capsule style.

Close and reopen — the draft stays

  • Reopening the input puts the caret at the end of the draft, like a typical chat box. Clicking in the body still places the caret where you clicked.
  • Close and reopen, and paths, commands, skills, attachments, and review mentions come back — they don’t collapse into plain text. A successful send still clears the input.

Esc in two steps

With a command, skill, or path list open, Esc dismisses only the list. Press it again to close the input.

Update, then open any session. Full changelog: CHANGELOG.
